PURPOSE: A sub content selection reproducing apparatus of an IPTV program and method thereof are provided to select sub content without viewing a program in order to directly view the sub content. CONSTITUTION: A program identifier receiver(121) receives an identifier of a program from an STB(Set Top Box). A metadata provider(122) transmits searched meta data from the STB. A sub content identifier receiver(123) receives the identifier of the selected sub content from the STB. A program provider(124) confirms the reproduction start time of the sub content. The program provider transmits the program for a specific amount of time.
