PURPOSE: A method of reducing the sloshing of liquefied natural gas in the cargo hold of an LNG ship is provided to prevent the hydro-elasticity and resonance in a cargo hold since the sloshing of the cargo hold is completely restricted. CONSTITUTION: A method of reducing the sloshing of liquefied natural gas in the cargo hold of an LNG ship is as follows. A tank for collecting LNG evaporative gas is communicated from the LNG cargo hold to the outer upper part of the LNG ship. A gas exhaust valve(7) is installed on a tank(6) to be automatically opened by the predetermined pressure of gas, which is evaporated in LNG cargo holds(8). A sensor is installed on the tank. The sensor senses signals of the highest and lowest points on LNG surface. A pump(2) operates according to the signal from the sensor to maintain the LNG surface between the lowest and highest points of the tank so that the cargo hole does not have a space to cause sloshing.
