<p>PURPOSE: A light source unit and a projector with the same are provided to emit a composite light as well as a monochromatic light by individually controlling two types of light sources and an excitation light irradiator. CONSTITUTION: A light source unit comprises a fluorescent plate, two types of light sources(120), a light source side optical system(140), and a light source controller. The fluorescent plate has a fluorescent light emitting area in a base material in which excitation light is irradiated to emit fluorescent light of a fixed wavelength band. The light sources emit lights of a wavelength band different from the fluorescent light of the fluorescent plate. The light source side optical system collects the fluorescent lights from the fluorescent plate and the lights from the light sources to a specific side. The light source controller individually controls the light sources.</p> |
