PURPOSE: Nitrogen removal apparatus and method for anaerobic digestion effluent are provided to reduce the usage amount of organic carbon sources over 35% by activating the nitrozation reaction and controlling the nitrification reaction. CONSTITUTION: A nitrogen removal apparatus for anaerobic digestion effluent comprises the following: an effluent storage tank(10) storing effluent produced by anaerobic digesting a food waste supernatant, livestock wastewater, or excrement, and solid-liquid separating obtained anaerobic digested sludge; a first anoxic tank(20) transforming nitrate or nitrate of the effluent into N2; a first aeration tank(30) oxidizing NH3 of the effluent into the nitrate or the nitrate, and returning the nitrate or the nitrate to the first anoxic tank; a heat exchanger(40) controlling the growth of nitrozation bacteria; and a pressure floatation tank or a settling tank(50) for removing solids from the effluent. |
