<p>Use of a formulation (I) comprising: (a) at least one apolar, lipophilic, amphiphilic, zwitterionic or highly polar substance; (b) a polyether polyol, preferably polyethylene glycol (alpha -hydro-omega -hydroxy-poly(oxy-1,2-ethanediol)), polypropylene glycol and/or poloxamer (preferably poloxamer 407 or alpha -hydro-omega -hydroxy-poly(oxyethylene)-poly(oxypropylene)-poly(polyoxyethylene) block copolymer); (c) dimethyl isosorbide; (d) triglyceride, preferably medium chain triglyceride; (e) alcohol, preferably ethanol or isopropanol; and (f) residual water, to treat nail- and/or nail bed disease, is claimed. Use of a formulation (I) comprising: (a) 0.1-20 wt.% of at least one apolar, lipophilic, amphiphilic, zwitterionic or highly polar substance; (b) 10-50 wt.% of a polyether polyol, preferably polyethylene glycol (alpha -hydro-omega -hydroxy-poly(oxy-1,2-ethanediol)), polypropylene glycol and/or poloxamer (preferably poloxamer 407 or alpha -hydro-omega -hydroxy-poly(oxyethylene)-poly(oxypropylene)-poly(polyoxyethylene) block copolymer); (c) 5-25 wt.% of dimethyl isosorbide; (d) 2.5-10 wt.% of triglycerides, preferably medium chain triglycerides according to the German pharmacopoeia; (e) 5-20 wt.% of 2-4C alcohol, preferably ethanol or isopropanol; and (f) residual water, to treat a nail- and/or nail bed disease, is claimed.
