PURPOSE: A power factor compensating circuit and driving method thereof are provided to make a response speed different according to an output voltage, thereby minimizing the influences due to an excessive output voltage and the ripple components of an input voltage. CONSTITUTION: A power factor compensating circuit comprises an inductor, a power switch(11), a backward flowing compensation controller(2). The inductor supplies output power. The power switch controls an inductor current. The backward flowing compensation controller controls the switching operation of the power switch. |
