PURPOSE: A control method of cooking appliance is provided to prevent the excessive heat of a heater by preventing the heater surface from heating higher than a fixed temperature. CONSTITUTION: A control method of cooking appliance comprises next steps. A heater, emitting heat and light to the internal space of a cooking chamber, is operated. The heater is independently controlled after a heater operation setting time. The heater maintains the preset surface temperature of a heater.
