PURPOSE: A system and method for controlling a handover direction in a media independent handover are provided to efficiently manage a network by controlling handover directivity. CONSTITUTION: A mobile terminal(110) supports heterogeneous networks, and receives MIH server performance information from an MIH server by transferring handover directivity information to the MIH server. The mobile terminal performs handover to a network indicated in a response message received form the MIH server. The MIH server stores a terminal profile by using the IMSI(International Mobile Subscriber Identity) of a terminal. |
