PURPOSE: A device and method for testing a light emitting device package are provided to use a color reproduction rate for classifying light emitting device packages, thereby increasing the accuracy in classifying the classifying light emitting device. CONSTITUTION: An electrical property measuring unit(10) inspects the electrical features of a light emitting device package. A brightness measuring unit(20) measures the light output strength of the light emitting device package. A color coordinate measuring unit(30) measures a color coordinate of light generated from the light emitting device package. A color reproduction rate calculating unit(40) calculates the color reproduction rate of the light emitting device package. A controller(50) classifies the light emitting device package by the color reproduction rate.
