PURPOSE: A method for preventing collision between readers in an RFID system is provided to increase the tag recognition rate and a recognition speed using the upper and the lower structures between the readers. CONSTITUTION: A reader in an RFID system transmits a pre-pulse to other readers after occupying a specific frequency band(S200-S202). A tag recognition operation is performed using the specific frequency band(S204). After performing the tag recognition operation, a post pulse which cancels the occupation of the specific frequency band is transmitted to other readers(S206).
