PURPOSE: A tuned mass liquid damper is provided to improve the stability of a bridge by more effectively reducing the vibration of the bridge. CONSTITUTION: A tuned mass liquid damper is configured as follows. Partition walls(5,6) are set inside a girder(2) of a box girder bridge. An inlet(16) is formed on the upper part of the girder and an outlet(17) is formed on the lower part of the girder. Opening and closing devices are respectively attached to the inlet and the outlet. A granular weight material or fluid is put into the girder through the inlet. |
