PURPOSE: A method for preparing vanadium pentoxide sol and the vanadium pentoxide sol are provided to stabilize the state of the vanadium pentoxide sol by adjusting the amount of acid introduced into the sol. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing vanadium pentoxide sol includes the following: Vanadium pentoxide powder is arranged into a crucible, and the crucible is transferred to a furnace. The temperature of the furnace is raised to temperature between 700 and 1000 degrees Celsius which is higher than the melting point of vanadium pentoxide. The temperature of the furnace is maintained to melt the vanadium pentoxide powder. Molten vanadium pentoxide is rapidly cooled using deionized water. Vanadium pentoxide sol is obtained. Acid is added to the vanadium pentoxide in order to adjust the pH of the vanadium pentoxide sol.
