In a continuous process for deionising a solution containing calcium ions by countercurrent contact with a cation-exchange resin, the resin is regenerated by sulphuric acid to which 20 to 100 ppm. of a sodium phosphate glass, e.g. hexametaphosphate, is added just before it is fed to the regeneration step. |
