An aquatic harvester for use with an aquatic craft (1), the water craft (1) including sides, a bow and a stern, the harvester including a frame (100) which includes one arm (7), pivotally connected to the craft (1) at a position spaced from the forward end portion (101) of the arm (7), said forward end portion (101) being adapted for connection with an implement, the pivotal position of the arm (7) relative to the craft (1) being controlled by a control means (8, 9, 108). The implement includes a collecting hood (4A) with a mouth opening (11) for receiving harvested material and an outlet opening, the collecting hood (4A) being operatively connectible to a suction pump (5) through a conduit (6) connecting between an inlet to said suction pump (5) and said outlet opening.
