BICYCLE LOCKING APPARATUS USING RFID TECHNOLOGY AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A bicycle locking apparatus and method using RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) technology are provided to lock or unlock a bicycle easily using a card embedded with an RFID tag. CONSTITUTION: A bicycle locking apparatus using RFID technology comprises a lock driving unit(130) and a lock control unit(110). The lock driving unit is installed in a bicycle(100) and receives a lock or unlock signal to lock or unlock the bicycle with a lock key connected to a fixing wire. The lock control unit reads out tag information from a tag embedded user card that is approached in an unlock state, stores the read tag information, and outputs a lock signal to the lock driving unit. The lock control unit reads tag information from the tag embedded user card that is approached in a lock state and, if the read tag information matches with the stored tag information, outputs an unlock signal to the lock driving unit and deletes the stored tag information. The lock control unit comprises a first RFID reader, a button input part, a storage part, and a controller.
