PURPOSE: A satellite receiver with an over-current protection function is provided to cut off the over-current flowing through a line for supplying power to a low-noise frequency converter. CONSTITUTION: An amplification unit(110) is connected to an LNB(Low Noise Blackdown) converter(50) through a cable, and amplifies a signal through the cable. A tuner unit(120) tunes the signal of the amplification unit. If an over-current is generated on a power line, an over-current protection circuit unit(130) turns off the power line. The power line supplies power to the LNB converter through the cable.
