<p>A pipe repair clamp 10 comprises a flexible cylindrical strap 15, a thrust plate 25 secured to one end 21 of the strap 15 and a lug plate 30 secured to the other end 22 of the strap 10. The thrust plate 25 has at least one lug 40 secured to it, and extending perpendicularly from it. A threaded stud 35 that extends towards the lug 40 is secured to the lug plate 30. A lug cover plate 60 has at least one opening 61 configured to receive a threaded stud 35 and a curved end portion 62 covering at least a portion of a lug 40, and is perpendicularly secured to the lug 40 and thrust plate 25. A locking plate 50 with at least one opening adapted to receive a threaded stud 35, is configured to slide over the at least one lug 40, and over the lug cover plate 60, when both ends of the straps 15 are pulled towards each other to close the clamp 10.</p> |
