PURPOSE: A reception system of a digital broadcasting receiver and a method thereof are provided to receive an EMM(Entitlement Management Message) through a session same as a transmission information session which supplies an EMM request message generated according to the purchase request of a service subscriber and enable a user to watch the EMM through a permitted channel after changing the information. CONSTITUTION: A management unit(110) generates a purchase request message if the channel selected by a service subscriber is an unauthorized channel. If there is a request for purchasing the unauthorized channel based on the purchase request message, the management unit generates an EMM request message for the unauthorized channel after authenticating the service subscriber based on the personal information of the service subscriber and transfers the request message through an information transfer session. A control unit(130) transfers the EMM(Entitlement Management Message) request message to a reception restriction server.
