The invention relates to a pneumatic monochromator crystal bending device. According to the invention, the device comprises a pneumatic bending enclosure (6) consisting of a proper enclosure inside which there is non-rigidly mounted a monochromator crystal which may be moved between two silicone rubber gaskets on a distance of tens of millimeters, an assembly for setting the pressure inside the enclosure for pneumatic bending comprising a compressor (1), a reducing valve (2), two valves (R1 and R2), two electrically-operated valves (EV1 and EV2), the first for increasing the pressure, and the second for reducing the same, two tanks (V1 and V2) with volumes in a ratio of 1/20, a pressure transducer (7), a hydraulic mercury lock (5), a relay block (10) for actuating the electrically-operated valves (EV1 and EV2) by means of a command received from a personal computer (9) by means of an interface (8) in order to regulate the pressure in the tank (V2) at a value at which the desired bending of the crystal is achieved.
