PURPOSE: A system and method for editing an electronic book are provided to create and manage a plurality of publications with the same contents by enabling a publisher to create and manage temporary files for editing the book contents. CONSTITUTION: A publication server(100) stores a plurality of publication object electronic book contents which is registered from a user terminal(200) in advance. The publication server offers an authoring tool for offering the editing environment of the electronic book contents according to the request of the user terminal. The publication server registers the electronic book contents which is manufactured by operating the authoring tool. The user terminal creates the electronic book contents using the authoring tool.
