The invention relates to a process and installation for manufacturing tubular-shaped membranes with controlled thickness ranging between 13...35 mm. The claimed process uses the technique of inner film coating, in a porous ceramic tubular support (22) of a polymeric solution by means of a piston and carries out the uniform deposition of the polymeric film on the inner side of the porous tube (22) by forcedly introducing the polymeric solution into the ceramic tube, at the end of which there is located the film-coating device provided with some small holes through which the polymeric solution passes, the porous tube being vertically displaced and immersed in a coagulation bath wherein there takes place the settling and the formation of tubular membrane. The claimed installation comprises a strength subassembly (A), a subassembly (B) for distributing the polymeric solution, a subassembly (C) for guiding and immersing the tubes, a coagulation subassembly (D) and a subassembly (E) for storing and supplying the scraping device with polymeric solution under pressure, the subassembly (B) comprising a stainless tube (9) connected at its upper part with a self-aligning ball bearing (10) by means of an axle (11) and a coupling device (12) and at its lower part with a cutter holder (13), a guide bearing (14) and a scraping cutter (15).
