The device has a control lever (48) and an actuation stop (50) that are provided in a clutch. A support face (86) is secured in longitudinal sliding motion towards a front of a longitudinal sliding ring (52), and is pushed forward by a direct support of the control lever for controlling sliding motion of the actuation stop towards the front. A rotating ring (60) stresses a diaphragm of the clutch, and is rotated by the sliding ring. The support face is longitudinally shifted forward with respect to a rear end face (66) i.e. rear wing, of the sliding ring.
