<p>The invention relates to a method for signal demodulation in a computer system, to a system for carrying out the method and to a computer-readable medium containing instructions for carrying out the method. According to the invention, the method comprises the following stages: storing a plurality of demodulation schemes and a plurality of channel definitions in a channel allocation table, where at least one of the demodulation schemes is associated with each of the channel definitions; receiving (902) an analog signal waveform; converting (904) the analog signal waveform into at least one digital signal waveform; isolating (906) a specified frequency range from said digital signal waveform; measuring (908) a magnitude of a plurality of modulations within the specified frequency range; storing (910) the magnitude of the plurality of modulations in a signal magnitude table and decoding (912) at least one symbol from the signal magnitude table by applying demodulation schemes and channel definitions to the magnitudes stored in the signal magnitude table. The claimed system for carrying out the method comprises a programmable slicer, at least one analog-to-digital converter, at least one processor and a correlator.</p> |
