PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple cyanogen measuring device which is easy to handle and is capable of measuring the concentration of cyanogen at a level equivalent to the environmental standard within a short time, and a simple cyanogen measuring method. SOLUTION: In a detection tube-type simple cyanogen concentration measuring device 1 measures the concentration of cyanogen in water by developed hue, a water-absorbing material 5 is filled in a glass tube 3 at the bottom, and a reagent 7 and then a pigment holding material 9 are filled at the top. The reagent 7 includes a pH buffer 11; a chloramine T agent 13; an excipient 15; and a coloring reagent 17, and these components are filled in the stated order in layer forms from the bottom to the top. The water-absorbing material 5, the reagent 7, and the color holding material 9 are able to suck water by capillary action. For cyanogen concentration measurement, all needed is to immerse a lower end 19 of the simple cyanogen concentration measuring device 1 in a sample water 21. The measurement time is about 3 minutes.
