PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve heating efficiency and fuel consumption by ensuring high combustion efficiency and uniform fire power distribution which are difficult to achieve in a conventional burner, with respect to an inner flame type burner performing combustion by injecting a fuel gas inward from burner ports formed on the inner peripheral face of the annular burner. SOLUTION: The bottom section of the annular burner is mounted and fixed while being floated by a supporting pole, and an annular raised section is formed on an inner peripheral edge opened on the top face of the burner, so that the sufficient secondary air can be continuously supplied in combustion. A burner port array is formed by arranging the burner ports in adjacent to each other while being close to each other in the circumferential direction at an angle to displace the fuel gas injecting direction from the central direction of an inner space. Further, by unifying the injection pressures of the fuel gas injected from the burner ports, the flame is swirled as a while, and the pillar of flame having a good annular shape and having a hollow cavity at the center in the vertical direction can be produced.
