PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate an image under an arbitrary observation light source of an article represented as a color-adjusted image. SOLUTION: The image and the observation light source are set (S11), the color of the image is adjusted (S13-S15), the spectral data of the article represented as the color-adjusted image are calculated (S17, S18), and the image of the article is generated on the basis of the calculated spectral data and the set observation light source (S19, S20).
