The invention relates to a centrifuge comprising a suspended centrifuge drum (3). The centrifuge has a stationary outer housing (1), a shaft bearing (5) which is arranged on the top side of the outer housing so as to be flexible or rotatable, a shaft (4) which is rotatably received by the shaft bearing and extends into the outer housing and a centrifuge drum supported by the shaft. An inner housing (2) is arranged on the shaft bearing so as to surround the drum in a gas-tight manner and so as to be rotated together with the drum. The device for removing (11) the solid cake arranged on the drum wall is secured to the shaft bearing or to the inner housing so as to be rotatable together with the same, thereby ensuring that the solid cake can be completely removed without damaging the inner wall of the drum. |
