<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for easily attaining operation in monochrome mode and full-color mode, and quickly forming clear images. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: an intermediate transfer belt 11 which is switched between a first state where toner images transferred to latent image carriers 60Y-60B can be secondarily transferred to a recording material P by using a rear secondary transfer roller 66, and a second state where the intermediate transfer belt is separated from one latent image carrier 60B and the rear secondary transfer roller 66; an intermediate transfer roller 200 which is switched between a transfer position facing the one latent image carrier 60B and a position separated from the transfer position; a front transfer roller 204 which is switched between a position where the toner image on the intermediate transfer roller 200 is transferred to the recording material and a position where the front transfer roller is separated from the transfer position; and a controller 500 which changes a state of the intermediate transfer belt 11, a primary transfer position P31 of the intermediate transfer roller 200, and a secondary transfer position u1 of the front transfer roller 204. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
