OPTICAL CONNECTOR INSERTION/REMOVAL TOOL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a possibility to erroneously read out the ID identification information of other adjacent optical connector adaptors when inserting or removing an optical connector. SOLUTION: The optical connector insertion/removal tool 21 has a function of reading out the ID identification information of the optical connector adapters and a connector holding part 24 at the end of an arm part 23. The connector holding part 24 includes a surrounding frame part 30 having a wall part which surrounds the four sides of the grasped part of the optical connector 31 and a movable connector grasping component 32 which grasps the optical connector disposed in the surrounded frame part. The connector holding part 24 has the ID identification information signal receiving part 41 which receives light including the ID identification information of the respective connector adapters at a position deeper than the front end of the connector holding part 24, and a cylindrical window 42 is disposed in front of the ID identification information signal receiving part 41. The ID identification information signal receiving part 41 receives only the light which passes through the cylindrical window 42 thus there is small possibility to read out the ID identification information of other adjacent optical connector adapters.
