PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new development method for colorants, which does not need pigment and dye equipment utilizing chemical reactions and is inexpensive in equipment construction and production cost. SOLUTION: In the method, coloring materials are obtained by irradiating a powder or a paste-like or slurry-like substance including a photosensitive agent with light of each wavelength, dispersed by a prism. The irradiation time is set to be within a range of 1-5 min and the concentration of the photosensitive agent is within a range of 1-30%. The powder is wheat flour, flour or cements, which is harmless to a human body; and the paste-like or slurry-like substance is a substance obtained by kneading the powder together with water, an alcohol or the like.
