PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an applicator capable of applying a coating liquid of even thickness on a coated surface. SOLUTION: In the applicator 1 that forms a curing thin film of coating liquid on the coated surface by applying the coating liquid onto the coated surface, an impermeable layer 3 is formed that prevents the coating liquid from being permeated onto the surface of a holding object 2, and salients 4 higher than the thickness of the curing thin film of coating liquid may be dotted on the surface of the impermeable layer 3.
