The present invention relates to a touch panel, and to a capacitive touch panel in which a touch location is sensed by the variation of capacitance generated by an electrode during a touch, wherein the capacitive touch panel comprises: one or more electrodes arranged in one direction on a substrate such that the electrodes have a uniform resistance component and intersect from one end toward the other end of a reference signal; and a location-sensing unit which applies the reference signal to one side of the electrode, and which is arranged to intersect the electrode to receive, through the other side of the electrode, the reference signal deformed by the resistance and capacitance generated in the electrode during a touch, and which determines a touch location through the comparison between the reference signal and the received deformed reference signal. Thus, a capacitive touch panel capable of measuring a voltage variation in a more precise manner than conventional touch panels is achieved, and the capacitive touch panel can be applied to a large-size screen apparatus. |
