PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base station device which communicates with a mobile communication device by changing the number of space streams and modulation systems, and to provide a method for controlling communication of the base station device. SOLUTION: The base station device 100 has: a number determination section 126 of the space streams which determines the number of space streams which can be formed, and the modulation systems which can be set to each of the space streams for each of communication channels used for communication with the mobile station device 200; an assignment PRU determination section 128 which determines the next communication channels to be assigned to the following communication with the mobile station device 200, and determines the number of space streams to be formed in each of the next communication channels, and the modulation systems of each of the space streams based on the number of space streams and the modulation systems which can be set to each of the space streams; and a message generation section 132 which notifies the mobile station device 200 of the next communication channels, the number of space streams, and the modulation systems of each of the space streams.
