PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve gear and an internal combustion engine including the same accurately regulating slide movement of a cam, and always guaranteeing proper valve lift characteristics. SOLUTION: Solid cams 13 slidably attached to a camshaft 11 disposed over adjacent cylinders are moved with respect to a valve lifter via an accelerator fork 42, and lift characteristics of valves are continuously changed per each cylinder. A stopper 16 (17) is provided, having an intermediate bearing 12C supporting the camshaft 11 between adjacent cylinders, and capable of having the solid cams 13 abut on axial both sides of the intermediate bearing 12c.
