PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress riding comfort from being deteriorated due to the influence of inertia of a reduction gear 35 of an electromagnetic shock absorber 30. SOLUTION: When the electromagnetic shock absorber 30 is compressingly operated, damping force is controlled by adjusting a generated current by a first switching element SW1. On this occasion, a second switching element SW2 is brought into an off-state when a target damping coefficient C is positive, and is brought into an on-state when the target damping coefficient C is negative. When the electromagnetic shock absorber 30 is extendingly operated, the damping force is controlled by adjusting the generated current by a second switching element SW2. On this occasion, the first switching element SW1 is brought into the off-state when the target damping coefficient C is positive, and is brought into the on-state when the target damping coefficient C is negative.
