PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine control device capable of improving fuel economy and capable of securing a brake force required to stop a travelling vehicle in economic traveling control. SOLUTION: In an engine control device for stopping fuel injection based on required conditions that an accelerator is not operated even in travelling and booster negative pressure is higher than a set threshold value, a set threshold value P<SB>os</SB>is set based on at least one of the accelerator operated quantity L(S27-29) and an operated quantity changing speed V<SB>L</SB>(S22, 23). By this, in the case that a large brake force is estimated to be required, the set threshold value can be set at a large value (S24), and in the other case, the set threshold value can be set at a value smaller than the highly set value (S26).
