PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method for hydraulically crushing a lining layer, which provides ensured crushing, does not require a core drill or a redrilling of the layer even for failed crushing. SOLUTION: This construction method for hydraulically crushing the lining layer includes: a double cutting step for forming horizontal double lines with predetermined width by means of a double cutter; a cutting-portion fire-resistant-material removing step for removing a fire-resistant material from a portion cut in the double cutting step; and a hydraulic crushing step for performing the hydraulic crushing by applying a wedge of a hydraulic crushing machine to a cutting portion from which the fire-resistant material is removed in the cutting-portion fire-resistant-material removing step. This work is performed using a gondola suspended inside a cylinder (chimney); construction is performed along a circumference tier by tier (with a height of 800-1,200 mm) from below; a dismantled material is taken out of a carrying-out opening; the work progresses to the next (upper) tier; and the work is repeated up to the crushing of the uppermost tier.
