An electric machine having a series of independent stator magnetisable pole members made of soft magnetic composite material pole member can be placed adjacent to another pole member to provide a substantially cylindrical shape when the series of independent stator magnetisable pole members are rounded or configured into the substantially cylindrical shape, wherein thereafter pole members are enclosable within a housing body of the electric machine, such that before each individual magnetisable pole member of the series of independent stator magnetisable pole members is configured or rounded into the substantially cylindrical shape, said series of independent stator magnetisable pole members are pre-wound with coiling to which current is passable through said coiling when said machine is in use.
