PURPOSE: An article storage rack with sliding shelves is provided to improve the stability in handling heavy articles by effectively distributing the load to a shelf supporting frame structure. CONSTITUTION: An article storage rack comprises a frame structure(2), a shelf supporting frame structure(3), shelves(4), two V-shaped guide rails, two running rails, two V-shaped rollers, a ball caster unit, and a shelf guide stopping member. The shelf supporting frame structure is horizontally fixed to the frame structure. The shelves are slid back and forth on the top of the shelf supporting frame structure. The running rails are installed in the longitudinal direction of the shelf supporting frame structure to face the respective guide rails. The V-shaped rollers rotate to guide the longitudinal movement of the guide rails. The ball caster unit rolling-contacts the running rails to support the rear load of the shelves and rotates to help the longitudinal sliding of the shelves. The shelf guide stopping member prevents the separation of the shelves from the shelf supporting frame structure.
