LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND DRIVING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display and a driving method thereof are provided to extend the range of data voltage by shifting the level of data voltage supplied to liquid crystal cells. CONSTITUTION: An LCD panel(10) comprises an effective display region and a non-display region. A data driving circuit(12) applies data voltage to data lines. A gate driving circuit(13) applies scan pulses to gate lines. A switch array(SWAR) switches connection between the data lines and the data driving circuit in response to a switch control signal. A capacitor array(CAR) shifts the level of data voltage charged in the data lines according to a boost signal.
