1,049,935. Rangefinders: viewfinders for photographic camera. VOIGTLANDER A.G. Feb. 20, 1964 [Feb. 20, 1963], No. 7242/64. Headings G2A and G2J. In a short home base coincidence type rangefinder, the optical element for effecting coincidence is made of an elastically deformable plastics material. As shown, in an Albada view and rangefinder for a photographic camera, prism 31 lies between two rigid glass or transparent plastic element 30, 32, the latter being opaque except for window 42. Element 32 is tilted about adjustable fulcrum 34, by means of rod 38 engaging objective adjustment means 39, to vary the angle of prism 31. The prism 31 is cemented or moulded in position and element 32 may be replaced by a transparent plate (Fig. 1, not shown). The finder includes a partially reflecting plane interface 25 and a partially reflecting annular spherical interface 210 for viewing indicia 27. |
