<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cognitive function evaluation system capable of evaluating a cognitive function relating to the working memory function of a subject and highly accurately detecting the decline and fault of the cognitive function by a simple method which is easy to understand for the subject. <P>SOLUTION: First task presentation processing of making the subject count a plurality of objects displayed at a display means is performed, and the subject is made to memorize a counted result. Thereafter, as second task presentation processing, task presentation processing of displaying a task image for making the subject count the plurality of displayed objects and making the subject add and memorize a re-counted result and the result counted and memorized in the first task presentation processing is performed.
