PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reconstructing a unit building, which facilitates reconstruction work. SOLUTION: In this method for reconstructing the unit building 1, the unit building 1, which is constructed by combining plurality of building units 3 and 5 together, is reconstructed. The building units 3 and 5 have a rectangular parallelepiped-shaped skeleton which is composed of a column 10 and a beam. In the building units 3 and 5, planar sections surrounded by the beams are arranged in upper and lower positions. The planar section is provided with face materials A1 and A2 for partitioning a habitable-room space 1A from a non-habitable-room space 1B; and separation wall sections 81 and 82 with a fire-resistant structure are provided in positions away from the column 10, in the non-habitable-room space 1B with respect to the face materials A1 and A2, so that the building unit 3 and 5 can be constructed. In the reconstruction, the fire-resistant structure is provided in a position, corresponding to the habitable-room space 1A, of the separation wall sections 81 and 82; and wall bodies 91 and 92 with a height from a ceiling A2 to a floor A1 are coupled together.
