PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor capable of precisely detecting the amount of gas exposure by a simple structure. SOLUTION: The gas sensor includes: a detection sheet 1 the color of which changes to a different color from the original color in response to exposure to a specific type of gas; and a covering part 2 covering the surface of the detection sheet 1 in close contact with the surface so as to shield external air. The detection sheet 1 includes: an observation surface 6 enabling visual observation of the color of the detection sheet 1 through the covering part 2; and a placing surface 7 facing the observation surface 6 and placed on the floor under an environment to be detected. The covering part 2 forms an opening part 3 at which a part of the observation surface 6 is exposed, and the opening part 3 is located in the inside apart from the periphery of the detection sheet 1 in a plane view seen from an observation direction.
