PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner inexpensive and improved in usability and quality. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner has: a motor-driven blower chamber 3 formed of an exhaust part 3a for discharging exhaust from a motor-driven blower; a filter 6 covering the exhaust part 3a and collecting dust in the exhaust; a filter chamber 7 storing the filter 6; and a cover body 8 covering the filter chamber 7 and having an exhaust port 9. The outer peripheral side surface of the cover body 8 is provided with a claw 10 locked on the vacuum cleaner body 1, and the cover body 8 is provided with a filter pressing part 13 coming into contact with the outer peripheral side surface of the filter 6. The filter pressing part 13 comes into contact with the filter 6 to incline relative to the cross-section of the claw 10 in a direction separating from a side close to the claw 10 and also downstream of the exhaust, and when the filter 6 is moved to downstream by the exhaust, the outwardly opening force is generated in the filter pressing part 13 so that the claw 10 is strongly locked on the vacuum cleaner body 1.
