A ball joint, particularly for use in vehicle steering linkages, comprises a hollow casing 1, which is of an elastic plastics material (e.g. polyurethane) and which is an elastic snap fit in a casing ring 6, the inner face of the casing constituting a bearing face in contact with the ball head 2 mounted on a joint pin 3 emerging from the casing through joint pin aperture 1a, a hollcw flexible sealing boot 4 formed unitarily with the casing and having an annular wall surrounding the pin aperture 1a joined to the casing at 4a and a collar 4b tightly embracing the joint pin. A connecting lever or rod is welded or otherwise mounted on the ring which may be constituted by a split ring. |
