The invention relates to cosmetic products for temporarily deforming keratin fibres, containing, in a cosmetic carrier, at least one starch modified with propylene oxide and having an average molecular weight (weight average) of between 50 and 2500 kDa and a propylene oxide content of between 4 and 6 wt. % (in relation to the weight of the starch modified with propylene oxide), said products enabling a hairstyle with a strong hold and high flexibility. Said starches modified with propylene oxide are based on renewable raw materials. In this way, effective styling products for hair can be provided, without having to exclusively use fixing polymers of fossil fuels.
