The headrest (10) has a cushion (13) forming a head contact surface (21) and fastening on a cushion support. The surface is formed in a support position, and placed on a large periphery of head of a passenger with respect to a basic position (P). An additional counter bearing is formed in the support position of a cushion body (K) for forces that acts as transverse to a direction (x2) of a seat. The cushion body includes an opening (18) of the cushion, where the opening forms an expansion space (33) for a cushion area (22) that is deformed on the surface during generating the force.
