摘要 <p>The present invention relates to a cell protection circuit of a battery composed of a plurality of cells. The cell protection circuit of the present invention is characterized in that it comprises bypass units arranged in parallel at both ends of each battery cell, for bypassing and conducting a current to a corresponding battery cell if at least one of a plurality of battery cells that constitute a battery has lost its normal function. With the present invention, even if one or more battery cells among serially connected battery cells of a battery lose their normal function, the current may bypass them to maintain the electrically conductive state of the battery and protect the battery cells, while preventing the entire battery from losing its function. Moreover, rapid degradation of the battery function that occurs when at least one of those serially connected battery cells loses its normal function may be avoided such that battery life can be extended or battery replacement time can be delayed. In addition, the battery cells can be protected from damage by bypassing a voltage equivalent to the basic voltage of each battery cell.</p>
