<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve yield drastically by heightening accuracy and speed in continuous manufacture of a liquid crystal display element. <P>SOLUTION: The method for continuously manufacturing liquid crystal display elements by laminating, on a liquid crystal panel, a sheet piece of a polarizing film formed by being cut out as a sheet piece having a prescribed length from an optical film in a continuous web mode includes steps of: continuously paying out an optical film; calculating a length measurement data based on the sent-out quantity of the optical film; detecting a mark indicating defect information detected previously and provided on the optical film beforehand; sequentially forming slit lines in a transverse direction with respect to the sending direction of the optical film based on the detected mark information; determining whether the sheet piece of the polarizing film separated by the respective slit lines is a defective sheet piece or a normal sheet piece; peeling the sheet piece determined to be a normal sheet piece from a carrier film; and pasting the normal sheet piece on the liquid crystal panel together. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
